Find out more about the human fever detection cameras recently featured on BBC One's The One Show, presented by Alex Jones and Amol Rajan.

Now marketed as "Fever Detection" cameras, Hikvision's thermographic cameras have been around for a while. But are they really accurate enough to help in the fight against Coronavirus (aka COVID-19)?
We recently blogged about the Secure by Default standard which is bringing a default security standard to the UK surveillance camera market in order to combat cyber crime linked to unsecure Internet of Things (IoT) devices.
In this video Alex from One2Call talks about the UK Government’s new Secure by Default standard for security and surveillance cameras, why the initiative is needed, and why the fact that the scheme is going to be self-certified by the manufacturers doesn’t necessarily mean will be a soft touch.
The below blog is adapted from the transcript with links added for additional detail.
What is the new Secure by Default standard?
The new Secure by Default standard is being targeted specifically at video surveillance (CCTV) cameras. The reason for this is because they are particularly targeted by hackers, online criminals and terrorist organisations.
if you're a suspicious person like me you'll have noticed that this is being self-certified, which means that the manufacturers are certifying themselves as meeting the standard.
When it comes to great quality night time security footage, Hikvision's Darkfighter cameras have long ruled the roost, but with ColorVu Hikvision are claiming to add full colour to the night time mix.
