One2Call is proud to announce that it has been admitted as one of the latest members of the Federation of Communication Services (FCS), an industry body dedicated to providing professional, ethical and quality business-grade communications solutions.

Whilst One2Call has always been committed to delivering the latest communications technology to the highest standards of quality and ethics, we see joining FCS as a public declaration of these standards and a reassurance to customers and would-be customers alike of those standards.

What FCS membership means for One2Call and its customers.

  • One2Call has signed up to abide by the FCS Code of Conduct.
  • One2Call is committed to trade legally and ethically at all times.
  • One2Call can now participate in shaping Ofcom and government policy through the influence that FCS has.
  • One2Call is also now a member of an Ofcom-approved Ombudsman Services dispute-resolution scheme which One2Call customers can contact independently if they feel their dispute is not being properly handled.

We're growing quickly here at One2Call and with the extra headcount comes extra vehicles. We've traditionally had vans with roof racks for ladders and rhino tubes but as we're doing more and more IT support and internal network design it frees us up to try something different with the fleet.

One2Call is pleased to announce it is now a gold partner of 3CX, a revolutionary software-based communications platform which gives enterprise level functionality at SME prices.

We think 3CX is a revolution in the SME business communications space, not only due to if its affordability, but also because of the shift in thinking that it represents.

Traditional manufacturers offer a complete system to end users, with the system chassis, handsets and software all tied to their own proprietary products, or requiring licencing to integrate 3rd party products. This can make small but feature-rich systems quite expensive due to layers of up-front licence and hardware fees, especially when it comes to call reporting, call recording or video conferencing.

Where 3CX differs is that they concentrate solely on what really drives any communications server - the software - leaving it up to expert installers like us to work with the client on the most appropriate way to deploy it, and letting us pick and choose the best hardware for the job.

What this means in reality is that those 'next generation' features, such as mobility, presence, call reporting, call recording and video calling, all become much more cost-effective with a 3CX deployment.

We've spent the last 3 months testing 3CX in a number of different scenarios and environments and we've been very impressed both with it's reliability, and also it's ease of use.
