Building Access Control

Keeping your teams, assets and critical infrastructure safe has never been so important. Which is why it’s so important to ensure your access control systems are up to modern standards.

Modern standards means much more than simply locking and unlocking doors. It means using biometrics to make systems safer and easier to manage. It means integrating access data with your internal systems for huge efficiency gains. It means connecting with Internet of Things (IoT) devices to trigger automated processes.

Is it time you reviewed your business access control?

Access Control

Access Control

Also known as Door Entry, Access Control systems give you the power to control who has access to your buildings and when.

But more than this, they give you the power to apply intelligent controls across your physical spaces.

Stay safe from infectious disease with all-in-one face and fever detection panels. Require the fingerprint of a qualified user before allowing power to dangerous machinery (and store records). Trigger lights, alarms, heating and even unlock terminals when users enter a room.

Safety via access restriction is still the core of any access control system, but modern systems can do so much more.

Speak to a consultant to discuss how we can enhance your approach to access control.

Biometrics

Biometrics

Fobs made access control management simpler and more secure by eliminating physical keys. But fobs can still be lost, swapped, or even sold. Fingerprints and faces can’t.

Biometrics means identifying a person using their body’s unique features. In most cases, this means fingerprint scanning and facial recognition. Biometric scanners are not only incredibly accurate they are also extremely cost-effective.

Facial recognition has the advantage of being touch-free. Combine with our fever-detection technology for added worker safety.

Biometric scanners can also be used to read QR codes. These can be sent by email to guests or temporary workers with expiry dates built in to ensure high-security levels.

    IoT - Internet of Things

    IoT

IoT means Internet of Things. IoT refers to any web-connected devices that can share data with others.

IoT features are being added to devices in almost all industries. When devices can be configured to speak to each other, huge efficiencies become possible through task automation.

Every door access sensor gathers data on who is where and when, which is sent back to the central control unit. Any action your access control system detects can be used to trigger actions from your IoT devices. For example, turn off power to all machines and lights and trigger alarms when final user leaves.

Data can also go both ways, so door access actions can be triggered from other systems. For example, locking and unlocking warehouse doors based on the proximity of your delivery vehicles.

    CCTV Integration

    CCTV Integration

Enabling your security cameras and door access systems to work together takes your building security to the next level.

    For example:

    • Trigger snapshot from cameras when entry terminal triggered for extra audit trail.
    • Physical 2-factor authentication using facial recognition cameras with fob or fingerprint access.
    • Automatically unlock all doors and sound alarm when thermographic cameras detect a fire.
    • Match door access and ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) data to ensure car park use fits with policy
